Cinemoms®

Cinemoms invites new mothers to enjoy a well-deserved, stress-free film entertainment experience with their babies under two years old. Worried about bringing your baby to the movies? Don't be. You'll be surrounded by other mothers and their babies. At Cinemoms, the theater's sound system is turned down slightly, and the house lights remain on. Strollers may be watched by the staff, or may be kept in the aisles. Changing stations are available in the restrooms for your convenience. Feeding, sleeping and crying are welcome at Cinemoms. Fathers are also welcome at Cinemoms, but they're not allowed to sleep or cry. This is the Foundation's way of showing our appreciation for new mothers. It's also a great opportunity for us to meet our future volunteers. Admission is absolutely free, but donations to the Foundation are always welcome. Join our e-mail list below to receive weekly schedule updates, or check the Now Showing page each week.

The Casablanca Club

The Community Theatre Foundation's Casablanca Club program provides seniors in our community with free showings of classic films. This is the Foundation's way of thanking our seniors for their dedication to our community over the years. Seniors are welcome to bring their loved ones to the Casablanca Club shows. Admission is absolutely free, but donations to the Foundation are always welcome. Please spread the word about this exciting program.

Film Movement Series

Too many great films never make it to the big screen. Despite critical acclaim and major awards from the most prestigious film festivals worldwide, millions of film fans across the country are deprived of the chance to see some wonderful films due to financial difficulties that restrict or limit distribution. Film Movement was created to change that, and we're helping. The Community Theatre Foundation has partnered with Film Movement to showcase two film series each year that highlight The Best of Film Movement. This series demonstrates the Foundation's commitment to bringing you the very best that the independent film world has to offer.

Community Theatre Foundation Film School

The Foundation believes that if young people are given the opportunity to channel their creativity and enthusiasm in a positive way, the outcome might just amaze us all. That's why we've created the Film School to introduce young people in our community to the world of filmmaking. The Film School is a summer program developed in partnership with our friends at the Fairfield University Media Center. Children who participate will discover all aspects of filmmaking, learn to work as a production team, and ultimately see their finished work up on the big screen. The Community Theatre Foundation will provide scholarship grants to children from the inner city to enable their participation in the Film School. Please contact the Foundation for more information about this opportunity.

Community Theatre Foundation Student Film Festival

The Student Film Festival seeks to support, foster and celebrate young creative talents in our community. The annual event will provide young filmmakers in our area with the chance to showcase their films to open audiences. Students from the ninth grade through senior year of college will be invited to submit film productions, and a panel of judges will award the best films in the categories of short subject, feature, drama, comedy and animation. Student filmmakers may e-mail the Foundation to obtain a Film Festival application and get involved. We invite everyone in our community to enjoy and support the festival and these young artists.
